Debbie Pearson

Debbie has been judging as a registered HSAA judge for the past 10 years and involved in the Appaloosa and Western Horse Industry for the past 30 years. As a HSAA judge she has had the privilege of judging local Agricultural Shows, Regional All Breed club shows, and has travelled interstate to Judge State Championships

She has a Appaloosa horse stud on the outskirts of Orange in the Central West of NSW, and is totally involved in the breeding, training  and showing of their horses from local to National level.

Debbie has been President of the local Appaloosa and All Breeds Club for many years and on the committee of the Australian Appaloosa  Amateur Association.

You can find Debbie any day at the Great Western Saddlery at Orange.

 

Jocephine Blackstock

Jocephine is a qualified Show Horse Council Judge and has judged miniatures at National level at Dubbo recently she judged the miniature classes at Warren Agricultural Show in 2007.

Jocephine Has a strong association with  showing and judging of show hacks, galloways, ponies and breeds which include Thoroughbreds, Stockhorses, Quarter Horses, Australian, Welsh and Riding Ponies.

Helen Dohan

Helen started breeding in in 1980m with her first foal being an Australian Pony/Part Welsh.In 1984 she made the move to breeding exclusively Welsh with the odd Riding Pony and Arabian Pony for variety. Woranora stud is located at Freemans Reach near Windsor at the foothills of the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. At Woranora Helen breeds Welsh Mountain & Welsh Ponies (Sections A & B) with the emphasis being on type, temperament and rideability. She feels it is vital to combine a good attitude with correct conformation and Welsh type and she endeavours to place her foals in homes where they will be appreciated and loved and stay long term. Ponies bred and owned by Helen have been consistent winners in the show ring both led and under saddle, not only in Welsh but in Open competition as well, at Royals, National and All Welsh Shows in most states of Australia.

Julie Arapa

Julie lives in Sydney , NSW and has been involved with the Pinto Horse for approximately 20 years. Julie was introduced to Pintos when she was about 13yrs old by the current President of the Pinto Horse Association of NSW Inc. Who taught Julie a lot about not only Pintos but “Horses” in general. From conformation faults right down to the nasty leg faults, as well as what it takes to be competitive in the show ring  Julie has been on the committee of the Pinto Horse Association of NSW Inc for 5 years she began as the Point Score Officer and is  now the Secretary.

During those early days Julie helped out at the Pinto State Titles on many occasions by either being a Judge’s Steward or just being there to run in any direction she was asked to. Julie also helped out behind the scenes by helping put Newsletters together by running around the table. (There were no such things as a copier that collated as it printed back in those days!)  

Julie has been involved with quite a few different breeds and has competed quite successfully at major shows such as Canberra Royal, Sydney Royal, The National Arabian Stud Show, The Paint Horse Nationals, National Pleasure Horse Association Celebration Show as well as at Agricultural and Open Hack shows.

Bronwyn Chenery

Bronwyn regularly judges Gymkanas and Funkanas, she loves to judge children and has a passion for judging believing it is a way to give back to the sport. Bronwyn has judged for the hack council at many shows and gymkhana's. Bronwyn judged at the UPWBDA Winter woollies show, at this show she judged hacks, coloured breeds, and adult riders. One of her favourite shows was the IMHR state titles in 2006. At this show Bronwyn was one of the futurity judges. This was a miniature horseshow.

Bronwyn has also been a competitor in junior judging competitions for about 5 years. In that time she was awarded 6 wins in regional competitions for the APSB pony breeds. She was the winner for the Arabian junior judging at the national capital horse show. and was then awarded champion at Canberra royal 2 consecutive years in Arabian junior judging. Bronwyn has competed at Sydney royal in junior judging, having been a finalist every year for saddle horse, light harness and APSB junior judging. also being awarded 2 fifth places, 3 4ths and reserve champion for judging at Sydney royal over the past 3 years. At the IMHR national championships i was awarded national reserve champion for miniature junior judging.


When she is not judging or competing Bronwyn likes to assist with stewarding and helping out behind the scenes. Bronwyn has always shown horses, having shown hacks, Galloway's, ponies, coloured breeds and at the moment concentrating on breeding miniature horses whilst studying equine science at university.

 

Dayna Davis (USA)

Dayna Has been breeding, training and showing Quarter and Paint Ponies for over 25 years. Their stud has stood several stallions including Custom King Collins, an AQPA (America) State and National champion and Custom Color, a rising star in the Quarter Pony world. Both stallions have offspring throughout the US and Canada. Dayna has judged local, schooling and 4-H horse shows in California for the last 20 years and has also been on the show staff for some of the largest AQHA (America) shows in California and Nevada including the Grand National Rodeo, Horse and Stock Show at the Cow Place in San Francisco, CA.

Dayna has been an active AQPA (USA) inspector since 1987.
